What time can I drop off?
On the day of your dog’s check-in, you can drop your dog off anytime during our business hours. Check-in day is counted as your dog’s first full day, regardless of check-in time. If you choose to drop off in the afternoon, the sooner your dogs arrive the more activity they will get before dinner and bedtime.
What time can I pick up?
You are welcome to pick up anytime during our business hours. There is no charge for the day of check out if you pick up your dog before 1pm. If you pick up your dog after there will be a $25 charge for daycare for that day.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
Current Rabies, Distemper/Parvo Combo and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) are required. We will honor the expiration dates used by your veterinary clinic. You may fax these records to 763-416-4100.
Does my dog have to be spayed or neutered?
No, we will accept dogs that have not been altered. If your female is not spayed it is best to remind us at the beginning of each stay.
Do I have to make an appointment?
Yes, all dog care services need a reservation. However, tours can be set up for most open business hours.
Can a friend drop off or pickup my dog?
You are welcome to have friends or family help you with drop-off or pick-up. It is helpful to send any instructions that will help us with the care of your dog for drop-offs. If someone other than your dogs family is picking up you can leave a credit card on file for payment and the name of the person picking up. This can work well if you are arriving back home after our business hours and want your dog to be at your house when you arrive home.
Can my dog be groomed?
We can do a bath for $20 and nails for $15. If you’d like your dog to have both it will only cost $25. Baths are free for dogs staying more than three nights. We do not have a professional groomer on staff to do full-body trims.
Your Dog’s Stay
What should I bring for my dog?
Most importantly is your dog’s normal dog food and any medication your dogs takes. Bring just enough for your dog’s stay and maybe a little extra if there is a possibility of travel delays.
You are welcome to bring any comfort items for your dogs suite to make their stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. Helpful things may include:
- A bed/blanket/rug that smells like home (Please no non-washable or irreplaceable items)
- Collar (for identification purposes)
- Slow-feeder bowl (any other dog bowls are not necessary)
- Treats (if your dog has special dietary restrictions.)
- Food to hide pills (best option is Pill Pockets made by Greenies Brand, others include canned dog food,
- bread, cheese slices, hot dogs, and peanut butter)
- Pre-sorted Pillbox (great for dogs on multiple medications)
- Toys (no more than two or three are necessary and nothing irreplaceable)
- Dog crates (work well for smaller dogs, dogs that are very nervous, and dogs that may need some space from another suite mate)
- Chewables (rawhides, bully sticks, dental chews, and other boredom busters are allowed to be given as needed)
Can my dogs stay in the same suite?
Yes, and additional dogs that share a suite get discounted pricing. Please be sure to mention special considerations, especially regarding the dogs eating next to each other.
Can medications be administered?
Absolutely! Pills, drops, and ointments are all free of charge. Please let us know what condition it is treating so we can monitor how well it is working. If your dog is on multiple medicines, a pre-packed pill box or other system works best. Food items like Pill Pockets by Greenie Brand to hide pills are also welcome.
Can my dog be exercised alone?
If your dog is not social or has medical restrictions we can give them independent playtimes. Please let us know of any concerns when dropping off.
What will my dog’s day be like?
Dogs have a very active day starting at 6am. We feed breakfast right away and start playtimes right after. Dogs are arranged in groups of 3-7 based on their size and temperament to make a happy and peaceful group. We rotate these groups outside to the yard multiple times each morning and each afternoon. We do not have a set time frame due to weather and pack dynamics, most dogs actually tell us when they are done by signs of wanting to go back inside or finding a spot in the yard to rest. Our indoor gym allows for extending play time until your dog goes back to its room for a little rest time before starting over again with the rotation. Dinner is fed at the end of the days business hours and dogs are given rest time before the evening outs are done. Dogs are let out one last time just like at home before bed time giving us another opportunity to make sure your dog is healthy, happy, and ready for a good nights sleep. They get one last quick trip outside before bed to make sure they can make it until opening the next morning.
How are my dog’s playmates chosen?
Size is a good indicator and activity level is another. Often we have one or two little dogs groups, two or three young and active groups, and one or two slower dog groups meant for the older dogs or the ones who are more interested in exploring the yard rather than playing with other dogs. Temperament concerns are also considered to exclude any triggers of aggression.
Can you take my dog on a walk?
We have a one mile walking path that is used when the weather permits. We reserve the trail for dogs that are not interested in playing with other dogs or toys and still need a way to burn off some energy.
